A perfect introduction to Taupo this helicopter flight is approximately 10 minutes flying time but covers a lot of the town’s top sight. As we lift off from our base, you will be greeted by stunning views of the crystal-clear waters of Lake Taupo before we track over the town and to the thunderous Huka Falls. The flight then takes in the thermal wonders of Wairakei, the thermal borefields and Craters of the Moons before heading over Acacia Bay settlement and sweeping the Taupo Lakefront as we head home.

At 18 minutes long, this flight gives you an opportunity to enjoy all the sights of the Taupo Treat as well as checking out some of our local favourite Taupo Bays Whakaipo Bay, Kaipo Bay, and Jerusalem Bay. You will get great views of the Māori Rock Carvings as we fly over Mine Bay and take in stunning views Taupo township. On a clear day as we round Rangatira Point you will be treated to views of Mt Ruapehu, before tracking over the lake back to base.
